Best Pre-Squish Investments?

I bought before last squish 50 Portable Hole bags (3k each) and sold 25 bags per faction in Icecrown. Yes you can sell those faster like many seller will do. But how much in gold is the question, everyone has different answer."Greed is good" so i I sold them 2800g per bag. Bags at auctionhouse goes like 1590g, after undercutting competition gets on between "clever" but no cash, buzinez minds :D But i did this only for greedy profit, and the fact i had plenty more gold in cash and other items, so no hurry.
To be more exact, I ment 6 months period, selling overflooded markets items with good profit, not only for reducing squish effects. Better if i put it this way : It will take maby much longer time to re-sell items at reasonable price after squish than ppl think.

just don't buy expensive items like tabard of the lightbringer, because human eye cannot see more than 60k anyways
