ok, but why is there the need to allow DuoQ facing Soloq?

Check Soloq Arena spectator and you will see that, even if Blackrock has around +250 ppl online, there are less Soloq games than before.

Check Soloq ladder http://armory.warmane.com/ladder/SoloQ/Blackrock , almost all players have queued as Duoq most of the time.
For good/top players is too convenient queing as Duoq and remember that rewards are for the single player.
So why giving reward to a single player if he queued 90%+ of the time as duoq ( so basically getting carried/with the help of his "top player" friend)
At this point you can just rename that ladder into "Duoq Ladder".


Old Core:
Duoq could face 3s team (because 3vs3 was a dead ladder) and Duoq.

New core:
Duoq can still face 3s team (and to be there is no need anymore; with CrossRealm 3vs3 is not a dead ladder anymore )
Duoq can face Duoq (Fine)
Duoq can face Soloq (meh)

Also, do you know why so many players are queing as Duoq? Because queing as Soloq is too frustrating.
Too many players use soloq as "skirmish". They use soloq to learn how to play a class for the first time. ( for some reason this problem is even bigger than before)
After 150+ games I am still getting as partner full rele players with 0-0 as score and who have no idea how to play.


For these reason I strongly recommended to not allow Duoq facing Soloq and to add a requirement to queue for soloq. Example:
you need 1550 Achievement ( it does not matter from which ladder. 2s, 3s, 5s are all fine)

I think this is a fair requirement. Getting that Achi is not hard at all, even for a full rele player ( above all now that we face Lord/Icecrown players)

Btw, by hoping you are gonna read this post, here 2 issues:
1. When x2 dps queue as Duoq they might get an other dps as partenr ( i.e Ret+hunt queue as Duoq -> they may get an Ele sham as partner).
I guess it is a bug, right ?
2. Horde players have been missing ToC 272 cloak for 10 months. Here a link to get their itemID: link

No one is avoiding soloQ because of people duoQ'ing.

There are no soloQ queus because:
- Fresh made chars can no longer queu soloQ, that alone filters a big chunk of players.
- Warrior are completely broken and SM damage is unhealable, healers are either not playing or rerolling a Warrior.
- Crossfaction was removed so tons of people have their main chars stuck in Horde dead faction, unable to play.
- Overall the server is in a complete shameful state, and people are avoiding soloQ in hopes things get fixed. Even with 1800 rating you still get matched with 0-0 template noobs.
