Suggestions for Selling Character

Given the rules of the marketplace, I'm hoping someone can direct me on the best way to sell my character.

I'm wanting to sell my mostly S2 geared warlock. The min price is currently 226 coins. I've seen a 4/5 S4 geared warlock for sale at 135 coins. In this instance, my character is extremely unlikely to sell because it has worse gear for a substantially higher price.

Question 1: How is the S4 character so cheap? Any info on character pricing mechanics would also be appreciated!

Question 2: Should I simply remove gear and hope to sell at below 100 coins, or is there another strategy that would work best in my favor?

The price is based on the marketplace, so if you want to lower the price you can take off any gear that is available on it.
