Ban?

So, I haven't played in warmane for like 1 or 2 years. Recently we started talking with my friend how great was MoP. I decided to log in the warmane to send my friends some screenshots from the armory (i don't have the game installed anymore) but i get this messege:

"Your IP Address (xx.xxx.xxx.x) has been suspended for due to Suspicious Activity - RB"

Is it because I'm logging in from another country? And do I still have my characters?
