WotLK DK killing mobs with ghouls

When I kill mobs with the ghouls using Army of the Dead or Raise Dead the corpses are then not lootable. Is this a bug or is that how it's supposed to be?

When you send a pet to kill a mob, it gives no loot.

You need to damage the mob as well. So, if your pet kills a mob all alone, you can't loot it.
