What hype are you talking about? Outland is now over 2 years old and plenty of x1 TBC servers came after it. Nobody is hyped for a x1 grind on TBC after doing that repeatedly on multiple TBC servers.
The majority of players that still joins Outland nowadays are from other TBC servers. TBC servers that they left because of the monotonious x1 grind.
They join Outland in the expectation of a high rate realm. After they level on x5 rates smoothly to 70 they have a evil awakening because on max level the realm turns into a x1 grind feast. At that point most newcomers give up and leave the server.
Thats the current situation on Outland.
With x5 rep and prof rates the start would be made easier for these ppl. They could focus more on the raid content and waist less time on monotonious grinds. Thats the way its supposed to be on a high rate realm.
