1. Cap Resilience

    Hi everyone,

    I wanted to know on this server what is the cap resilience for a Retpal HL who would like V2 with a double DPS compo ?

    What cap would it take to play arena with a heal ?

    And what cap is most used in battlegrounds ?

There is no "resilience cap", the more resilience you get the more you'll reduce all the damage you take with the exception of crits, crits can't be reduced below 30% of their damage, that's why often reaching 30% crit damage reduction is considered the cap. However having the improved righteous fury talent which reduces 6% all the damage taken, one would assume that 24% damage reduction is a good number to aim for if you play double DPS. Furthermore if both you and your partner are extremely skilled you could go with less and just rely on huge heals and burst, but I don't recommend this on higher ratings.

    Playing with a healer is absolutely not viable for a ret since it's not a pure DPS class and this is something that ret players need to understand once and for all. You can play hybrid classes using scripts like a beta loser like some do but unless you use scripts you won't beat anything that can put a healing reduction and a slow on you, since you don't have any.

    For battlegrounds it deppends on what you aim for aswell, if you want to go full damage just go without resilience and if you want to put up good fights use the same as you would use on arena or a bit less I guess since you can use potions you could afford using more PvE items I suppose.

    Lol, that's why there is a DP/ret in top 50 v2. And what about rcham/ret ? That's 2 compo with heal absolutely viable in 3.3.5...

  7. Afaik: Yes there is a resilience "cap". But its not exactly a cap per se.
    Said "cap" is 1400. The reason is called a "cap" is because after 1400, any point you get has less effects than previous ones. And the more you get the less they benefit you. Its like a logarithm reduction.
