banned for theft? wtf

I haven't played warmane for a few years. logged on about six months back with my laptop to discover that my laptop couldn't handle WoW. I now have a new powerful PC and wanted to play warmane again but upon logging in I discovered my account has been terminated due to theft? what is this? my account has not been stolen. only inactive. How can we fix this?
