1. Battle.net-like functionality.

When I played retail I remember having a chat going through Battle.net, meaning that I could speak with people playing other Blizzard's games.
I was wondering if the functionality is supported by the 3.3.5a client. I guess it is, since Battle.net 2.0 was released in 2008, during WotLK's period of time. If so, we could take advantatge of this and implement a system like Battle.net to talking between servers.
There used to be "bnetd", which was reverse-engineered from Battle.net's protocol already.

I think it would add nice functionality to Warmane services.

  2. Blizzard had more games, warmane has one.
Anyway, over discord/steam I don't see much need for this, it'd be too much work to implement and only a small number of players would even use it since they're already talking in a chat that has history, embedding options, music bots, images, links and so on.
