I heard the Gold Rate is x3 on Icecrown. Made a lvl 2 char on Icecrown and Lordaeron and noticed the same quest gave out out 50 copper on both.

Is the x3 Gold Rate only in Wrath Zones?

In other words, do you get around 12-14g for completing an average level 80 daily quest or around 36-42g?

you do actually get 36 to 42 gold from level 80 dailies on icecrown
