Lordaeron Double spec

So i was keeping some equipment to go dual (dps/tank) spec as i reach lvl 40, then when i checked, to purchase the double spec you actually need 1k gold. I just started playing like 1 week ago (but im an old wow player) and i think is not possible to make that amount of gold in 40 lvls, then i checked some wikis and found the real price was 10g... Then my question is, its intended for some reason? (maybe its bugged and that price makes you forget about using that feature). If someone knows why i would like to know, and if there is some way to actually learn dual spec, i really want that :D

The 10g is for later expansions. It was 1000g in WotLK retail as well.

It's not something you're meant to get off the bat at level 40. It's more of feature for later levels where it's more reasonable to have 2 specs.
