How good is blood dk in pvp?
Im gonna tell u truth... for hardcore arena play its not good... it was playable on 3.3.5b patch on old blackrock(they couldnt dispel your dots) but they never gonna add it again
but if u have good warrior-style arp equip and ur not tryhard arena player and u want to see highest possible physical dmg numbers then this class is for you
THERES NO MELEE CLASS who can have bigger number than shm Blood DK with Death Strike crit.. no retri or warr but its BLOOD DK
u will destroy most classes in duel but this guide is not duel blood dk guide its guide for arenas and maybe for battlegrounds too
Your main dmg spell is Death Strike and Heart Strike(dont forget to learn heart strike with trainer after retalent)
also dont forget to use Rune Strike every time u can use it
blood dk doesnt have big dmg with coils and also doesnt have frost strike so wasting runic power on rune strikes is the best especialy for blood dk because blood dk is PHYSICAL DMG SPEC and rune strike deals 150% of your weapon dmg
Pressences:
You are playing in unholy presence most of the time... you can play in blood presence too sometimes against enemies who doesnt kite you but
unholy probably still better... if ur dying in arena against physical attackers u can use Frost Presence to make them switch target or u can use it in duel
Stat Priority:
Hit Cap(5%)>Spell Penetration(130)>Resilience(800-1000)>ARP>STR>Critical Strike>More expertise(but for pvp expertise from your talents should be enough)
i prefer going 130 spell pene even as blood dk coz u may resist your Strangulate and also your death coil will do even less dmg
Haste: AVOID IT LIKE PLAGUE (hc skull better than hc DBW btw... coz of haste proc)
Gear:
offparts all of them needs to be PVE if ur good geared especialy
u need definetly agility rings and cloack or maybe necklace (if u dont have bis str amulet from RS25hc)
blood dk as i said is physical dmg spec just like warr so agility offparts are better(but no need to use leather boots or belt)
agility items give way more crit and just a little bit less attack power than str items and blood dk has only 6% str increase all +15% from weapon enchant but still i think agility off parts are better than str ones just like for Warriors
there are two types of set gear u can wear for blood dk:
1. 4/5wf set 1/5 HC PVE
2. 2/5wf set 3/5HC PVE ICC SET
Sigils:
1. 4/5 wf set...--> Sigil of Awareness
2. 2/5 PVE ICC SET...-> Sigil of Vengeful Heart
Explanation: with 4/5 WF set ur going to use 2x death strike in rotation and this sigil increase dmg of death strike by a lot(its base dmg not normal dmg)
with 2/5 PVE ICC SET ur going for spam Heart strike and u gonna use Death strike less and Sigil of Vengeful Heart is just too good even for blood dk... second thing is: u have talent to launch free death coil after heart strike
if u dont have 2/5 PVE ICC SET for 7% more heart strike dmg bonus then use first talent screen shot
if u have 2/5 PVE ICC SET then use second talent screen shot (Heart Strike Spam talents)

GEMS:
u need 130 spell pene( dont forget use +35spell pene cloack enchant) so u need 4x 25spell pene gem
also u need 800-1000 resilience and ur basicly full PVE (even if u go 4/5wf set build) so u need all your other gems in Resilience
u can use 1 ARP gem in +8crit or +6str set bonus or u can do 10str+10resil gem or u can just simply use resilience and fc bonus
but u need atleast 1red gem in your gear atleast coz u will use Relentress meta gem (agi+3%crit dmg)
PROFESSIONS: JWC BS
also another informations about ur gear:
dont use bryntol weapon it doesnt have AA dmg ... blood dk is basicly warrior
ofc shadowmourne best... second best is AGI polearm from 25 LK HC
TRINKETS: Sharpened Twilight Scale(HC), Whispering Fanged Skull(HC)
why not DBW? it has trash haste proc even for warrs its worse every good warr use rather skull than DBW
DBW has way too big CD and skull procs with scale but if u rly like DBW just use it its pretty best trinket but only if u have taunka proc
Solved Possible Questions of random PPL:
WHy not blood-frost talents?
NO! its crap dmg compared to unh ones... blood-caked strike is so fcin good talent for blood dk if u have shadowmourne as blood dk your white auto attacks should hit rly hard and when blood-caked strike procs your target is basicly dead (especialy when u have dancing rune weapon on)
Why not Rune tap in second build talents?
because u need Death rune mastery talent for Heart strike spam with your 7%dmg heart strike set and this is arena-battleground blood dk pvp guide so heal not important that much
(it steals u blood rune anyway its your best rune for blood dk)
Why not Improved Blood Presence?
its 4% healing in unh presence its nothing
in blood presence it isnt 10% more healing at all... its 10% more healing from your heals from blood presence... so for example u heal self in blood presenc for 500 with your AA and it will heal you +50 more which is nothing
Why On a Pale Horse talent?
Coz u dont have lichborne and 20% fear reduc is pretty good
but if u dont want to use this talent u can put it to Mobidity talent (or Outbreak talent in 2/5 PVE SET build coz u dont have glyph of disease... so ur using unholy strike a lot)

everything tested xxxxxxxxxx times and this guide is simply the best
i made this guide coz other BLOOD DK PVP guides are crap and players who made it have no idea what they are talking about
if u have bis geared warr gear on your blood dk as i told you u should be able to get rly high rate in arenas even with this non-pvp spec
875 resil blood dk with shadowmourne is able to 1shot ppl with 15k death strike hits even vs full plate
and this is why blood dk is FUN ... BIG NUMBERS

It's unplayable in 3.3.5a in serious arena matches (even Frost with 2h is playable). Of course, you still can kill PvE geared 1500 mmr bums with one critical HS, but that's all. Blood spec is only suitable for duels with melee classes and for BGs. If you want something serious - choose Frost or Unholy.

And btw, agi rings isn't so good for DKs, prefer to get RS10HC ring + ICC25HC ring with ARP, ICC25HC belt, RS10HC wrists.

Blood DK benefits slightly more from Str than Arms does and he gains more ap through armor than Arms. It's worth to get agi offparts but I'd avoid leather gear as Blood.Edited: September 30, 2019

i tried this its pretty ****
u lose so much dmg only for antidispel thing (10% dmg, 10% arp, DRW)
and also 1glyph too coz u need glyph of ghoul for better corpse explosion dmg
i would rather go unh then
