WotLK Stuck on "Logging in to game server"

Hello there.

Since yesterday( 15th November 2019) I am unable to log in to the server.

1)At first, it gets stuck at

"Success"

then in about 30 seconds gets back to the realm list
2) I choose my realm(Icecrown)
3) Then it gets stuck at

"Logging in to game server"

and in about 30 seconds goes back to the realm list again

The issue was non-existent prior to 14th of November 2019.
Things I've tried to resolve the issue and did help
1)Using a VPN ,but I don't want this as a permanent solution,because I've red on the forums i'm in danger of getting banned for this.
And there is more latency+I have to get the code from my email every time.
Things I've tried to resolve the issue and didn't help
1) Deleted WTF and Cache folders
2)Restarted router
3)Included all WoW ports in the router settings as whitelisted - just in case.
4)Reinstalled client
5)Called my ISP to change my IP address, they did and said they didn't make any changes in the last 2 days

So, in a nutshell , i'm looking for a way to continue playing here without using a VPN , please help. :)

Wuuut? Can some moder/gm also comment this part about vpn? Is it true, that it is banable?
Cause i am also suffering connection issues for last 2 month, and purchased vpn (all other net games are completely fine with 40 ping, only warmane 170+ ping and random dcs cause of connection loss in evenings). Don't wanna be banned, tbh

you can use vpn's. but it's at your own risk. many vpn ip's are banned for various reasons. if you land on a banned ip then your account will get banned. you can send an email to [email protected] to get it unbanned. but the next time you use a vpn you could get hit with another ban.

that being said a paid vpn should be a bit safer than the free ones.
