1. (H) Rage Against Alliance: Australian/Oceanic Guild

    Overview
Rage Against Alliance is an English-speaking horde guild and is comprised primarily of people located in the Oceanic region, with guildies from Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. We also have people from abroad who align to our established raiding times. While we are a social guild, we now raid regularly and often, populating the in-game calendar with upcoming weekly raids.

    Times
With RAA being an Oceanic based guild, our raid timings differ significantly from most other guilds on the server. When a raid is organised, a rough guide for timings is as follows:
    - Raid setup and invites: 0930AM Server Time
    - Raid start: 1000AM Server Time. Be prepared to form up sooner than this, if we get the numbers earlier.

I can’t stress this enough; our raid times are based around Australian Eastern Standard Time (GMT+10), and while guildies may be on at other times during the day, 1000AM ST is when we start our regular guild raids. If you’re going to be unable to make these times, then you may need to look elsewhere.

    Progress
We are yet to attempt any 25m raids as it’s difficult to get sufficient people and appropriate classes, however we want to start on these very soon.

We raid a number of other instances (Ulduar, Onyxia), when we are raid locked out of ICC and TotC.

During instances, we always attempt to include people that may not have experienced the content before, and as a result we will inevitably wipe while people learn the instance. Be patient, be encouraging and provide positive feedback; not everyone has played WoW through all expansions and cleared every boss.

    Raiding
As a minimum, we raid ICC10, ToC10, RS10, Onyxia and sometimes Ulduar every week. We raid, we attempt, we fail, we regroup and we try again. This is how we learn and make our way through various raids. Like all raids, DBM and Discord are mandatory; you don’t have to talk on Discord if you don’t want to, but you do have to listen. With that in mind, take note of the following:
    - If you’re going to moan and complain about dying, look elsewhere.
    - If you’re unwilling to accept new roles and tactics, look elsewhere.
    - If you’re completely focussed on loot and nothing else, look elsewhere.
    - If you can’t follow simple directions being given over Discord, look elsewhere.
    - If you can't demonstrate a basic understanding of the raids that we do, look elsewhere.
    - If you’re a treasure hunter (one who gears up and leaves), you will be kicked.
    - If you interrupt the Raid Leader by calling for Bloodlust early or disrupt the raid in any way, you will be kicked.
    - If you carry on like a moron, abuse any guild member or act in a way that put the guild in a bad light, you will be punished in a manner consistent with the severity of your transgression…yeah, you’ll be so kicked.

    Loot Distribution
Loot is distributed on all raids by a Master Looter. Currently most loot is awarded by a simple /random 100 roll, however this will be amended by the guild leadership as guild numbers increase and attendance is tracked.

The order of priority for all loot is as follows:
    1. Main Spec random roll (full members)
    2. Off Spec random roll (all members, including trials)
    3. Guild Disenchant

All BoE items, orbs, primordial saronite etc are the property of the guild and will be placed into the guild bank by an officer. Marks that drop in raids will only be rolled on by Full Members and will be restricted to one Mark per member per raid, to ensure everyone gets an opportunity to secure an upgrade.

    Guild Interaction
The guild is has a wide variety of people from different countries, all with unique personalities and senses of humour. We are very, very irreverent. We all swear a lot, tell inappropriate jokes, stir each other up and we all give as good as we get. This is a guild populated with adults, not children, and as such we have a lot of adult, mature conversations. If you can’t interact with us at that level, and you’re not 18 or over, then you may need to look elsewhere. In short, be a good guildy, help other guildies, respect other guildies.
Some of the guild members are very good mates IRL and we all help each other with various tasks if someone needs a hand. If you are someone who is easily offended, we are not the guild for you.
As per the guild name, a large portion of the members are very active in PVP, so if that interests you then you’ll have plenty of people to do BG with.

    Recruitment
Even though we are attempting to grow the guild, we also need to ensure that anyone who applies is able to satisfy some basic requirements before being accepted as a trial member. All Main Spec applicants must have the following as the bare minimum:
    - Level 80
    - Gearscore 5.4k, full gemmed and enchanted kit
    - Main spec and Off spec
    - Cold Weather flying
    - The crucial ability to follow simple directions and not stand in the flames

The hierarchy in the guild is as follows:
    1. Guild Leader
    2. High Officers/Raid Leaders
    3. Casual Officers
    4. Core Raiders
    5. Raiders Gearing
    6. Alts
    7. Trial Members

There is no limit on how long you will remain a Member and any elevation to Core Raider will be at the discretion of the guild leadership team. We will need to see you perform in 5 man groups, as well as raids to accurately determine you understand your role and know what you’re doing. However, repeated failures by trial members to improve, inability to follow directions or just plain poor role execution will result in you being kicked.

Currently we are looking for the following:
    - TANK: All tanks.
    - HEALER: All healers.
If you think you are good enough to be considered for a closed class, contact an officer about membership, and may be approved by the leadership team.

    Conclusion
If you’ve made it this far and you think we might be a good Oceanic home for you, by all means ask for one of our officers in game. You can send a whisper to Awesomoz, Deantastic, Niight, Lorebreaker, Waylong or Canetoad for any queries about joining.
