As title says, why do all the top rated players use STS and WFS trinkets? Isnt DBW better choice than WFS for the passive ArP?

DBW is an RNG trinket. They'll get a haste proc and wish they were using something else. Also, armor pen is less useful against clothies, so the crit from WFS can be preferable.
To add to what Mercy said, both trinkets have 45 icd, so most of the time (if not everytime) they proc together, that's a lot of pressure to be handled every 45 sec.
Also, if you check the games of the top warriors you will notice that most of the games last less then 2 minutes, so wfc gets 2 procs in that duration and dbw 1. Which ups the value quite a bit.
But its purely personal choice, other top wars play with DBW. It isnt enough to really make a difference.
The opposite is the case. Arp is more useful against clothies and less beneficial against plate targets.
Wrong. Arp is useful against plate wearers and less useful against clothiers, cause clothiers has less armor to be reduced from.
That would be the intuitive thinking. Arp is not intuitive.. arp formula has a build in limit on how much armor you can ignore. You can ignore all armor of someone below 7.6k and only a part of armor of whoever has more.
The formula goes: armor after arp = armor - arp%*min(armor, (armor + C)/3)
For a level 80 target, C=15232.5. For a level 83, C=16635.
Just to correct this a bit, the formula constant is based on the attackers level, not the target's level. For a player that's assumed to be lvl 80, therefore C will, for all practical intents and purposes, always be 15232.5.
Agree for lvl 80, but I believe bosses have higher C, therefore it is defenders level, or?
Bosses and their mobs are higher level targets, yes, but the C in the formula is determined by the attacker's level. For a player that is 15232.5. It does not matter whether or not the player is attacking another lvl 80 player or a boss/add in a boss fight. Ghostclawler's original post on the subject was worded poorly.
A bis geared hpaly has 26000 armor which is a 63% dmg reduction. 100% arp reduces his armor to 12256 armor which is a 45% dmg reduction.
Priest has 5880 armour which is a dmg reduction of 27,85%. 100% arp reduces his armor to zero.
100% arp increase the dmg against a clothy by 27,58% and only by 18% against a plate target with shield.

Shouldn't 100% armor penetration always reduce the armor to 0, no matter the armor? Even to an Hpala? Where do you get those infos?
It didnt work like that in wotlk - actually this was part of the reason why it was discontinued in cata (too confusing stat).
