is it even possible as a Rsham with a 4.9k GS to get into a guild to do some raiding or is it a lost cause. im new to the server and just completely lost on what to do

Sure it is, but you'll need to be persistent about finding a guild. There are new guilds and newly geared players popping up constantly. The server is ever revolving.

Also, it doesn't matter that you are new, there are a ton of new players. How about make your own guild? Fill it with people just like you, problem solved. You can even give your officers a lot of leeway if you don't want to be heavily involved in the day to day.

Guilds are not going to come to you, you have to find them. Get yourself out there, let your voice be heard, make a macro and spam at times you are willing to play, talk to people in your dungeons that look interesting, ask people standing around about their guilds. Its kind of like looking for a job?

Keep at it, youll get what you want.
