Seeing lots of demo's with this talent. Is it a new hipster thing, or it's actually good now, as this used to be considered trash tier talent? Confused and too lazy to test it out, please help.

What alternatives do u wanna use?
20% for 15s with 40s cd - 7.5% average haste for pet.
Full buff bis warlock 61.74 crit, so improved demonic tactic will grant 6.1%crit.
Other option is 1/2 aftermath. According to my last log from dbs hc it will be smth near 4.2k dmg imrovement, number is pretty low.
According to rawr rough modeling demonic improvement best option.
