WotLK Defense cap bug

Hello, I recently donated some tank gear on my pala and saw that im not defense capped and when i check my defense it says 85+142 , so my base is 85 and it should be 400 at lvl 80. Any1 know what the problem is?

you need to be hitted by mobs to increase your defense
