1. Loans between Players

    Dear Staff,

I'd like to inquire, if loans in gold between Players is legal according to the ToS and various policies of the server and if it is, the rules surrounding it.
Is it regulated at all or even allowed?

    Example:
Player1 agrees to loan 10.000 gold to Player2, for 1 month, on a 10% interest and they record their agreement.

If Player2 defaults on its loan to Player1 (doesn't pay it back after 1 month elapsed), what happens to Player2?
    - Can Player1 submit the recordings of their agreement to the Warmane staff & expect actions to be taken against Player2?
    - If yes, what actions?
    - If yes, in what media should it be supported (e.g.: video recording, screenshots, etc.)?
    - If it was paid back only partially, what happens then?
    - If the interest wasn't paid, but the 10.000g was, what happens then?

I didn't lend money to anyone, just asking, because i'm curious as i've heard that casinos are regulated on the server, not necessarily because Warmane is concerned with gambling, but due to the high-rate of casino-runners running away with the bets.

Cheers & Kisses to that nice Staff Member that decides to take his/her time to answer this question!

  2. My guess is that it's not bannable but you will not receive any help or support from the staff once things don't go the way they're supposed to.
There's not enough people doing this for Warmane to make a specific rule about. If people need gold they either farm it up or buy it off Warmane trade.

  3. While I can't speak for the GMs, there's nothing covered in the rules regarding any of that and I doubt they are interested in basically being enforcers to loan sharks. If that sort of thing became a generalized problem, I'd expect a ruling similar to casinos to be created, not for them to waste resources dealing with debtors.

    Thanks for your answer!
If that's not the case, could any Staff member direct us to the regulations surrounding this topic?

    Cheers!

  5. Loan = Scam. If anyone is asking you for a loan who you do not know personally, it's a scam. You will never see your money again.
