Soooo i have been away from wotlk (lordaeron to be more specific) for a while now.. how is the pop and more importantly is it still worth playing?

The pop is on the main page, I assume you walked past it on the way here.

Is it worth it? I mean you're the only one who can answer that. Lord is the "hardcore" realm with buffed raids, no coin store, x1 xp, but had has ICC released for a while now.

I'd look at the new realm Frostmourne

If you want an authentic wotlk experience, id still recommend lordaeron. There is a big population, with alot of activity on the realm. But it's your choice, you may want to try the new Frostmourne realm, that will open on 15th April, but it will have a coin shop and increased XP rates (it will be similar to icecrown, but progression focused realm).

And in a year the character on Frostmourne will go on Icecrown, read the server details- for any server you want to join
