I just like AOE grinding, yeah it is most likely not the most efficient way to farm gold, but I like it. Is there any good spots to AOE farm in WoTLK? I tried animals in sholazar basin.
Or should I solo old dungeons? Was thinking maybe Strat would be worth it for the orbs + vendor trash.

Valley of Fallen Heroes in Icecrown. A lot of melee mobs densely populated with a quick respawn. Ghosts, drop a lot of greens, vendor trash, and Frostweave Cloth. Low chance for Damaged Necklace. Only thing you need to watch out for is the big caster mob that is with them - he isn't melee so he'll be an issue with grouping.
