Heirlooms on Launch

I Swear you guys LOVE crying about the race to realm first 80, but its 7x server, so the race does not matter one bit lmao. Let the people who want heirlooms to make leveling easier and more efficient get them. IF someone is gonna get realm first 80, they'll get it regardless of heirlooms or not. Dont make melee classes suffer because you don't want to spend a little bit of money to buy heirlooms. They're completely optional and 100% should be apart of the game and on the store at the start.

In the announcement thread they said that items will be available in the store once they are obtained legitimately. My guess would be heirlooms are available ingame on launch and will appear in store only once people buy it for emblems.

Its not just first 80, its first clear of all the raids as well that they would effect

You do realize that having a heirloom 2H Weapon increases the leveling speed of melee classes by atleast 25%, if not more? So getting RF80 without a heirloom against someone who has it and has same skill is impossible. Think twice before writing such nonsense, makes you just look funny.

If someone is serious about getting realm first, thjey'll get heirlooms. if they dont get them, then they dont really care about it. Warmane is a business. It would be extremely smart from a business perspective to make heirlooms open on launch. As far as raids, same thing applies. If your guild serious about pushing realm first clears, then they will get heirlooms to level faster and get the realm first. Its another matter of if you want them, buy them. If you dont want them, then dont buy them. Super simple for most people with full brains. Half brained people, not so much i guess :D

We will add heirlooms shortly after the launch. After realm firsts and such achievements are already obtained and no longer relevant. As mentioned in this thread, it is a x7 realm and heirlooms won't matter much in terms of 'gear' after the launch races are done.

?? Heirlooms dont matter anyway because its 7x. All it does is make leveling a million times easier because everyones gonna be in grey gear

This is a pretty measured approach they're taking. They'll let those going for realm firsts get the achievements, then open up the items afterward. These leveling items sell pretty well, they always seem to be in the 'popular' tab of the shop. Some people definitely use them to speed the leveling process up even further.

How is ruining competitive spirit of the event is "a good buisness model" ? Applying that logic, better to add lvl 80 boost, because why not ? You know that there are ways of making money without pissing of comunity at the very first second of the launch. Thanks god staff not so half brained as you and can settle betwean both options.
