Herlooms after server progression

What happens to heirlooms after the server has finished progression?

The charachter gets transfered to Icecrown right? Do the heirlooms go with the char or can they be used again on Frostmourne?

The logical option would be yes they go with your char to Icecrown.

Since the whole realm will be reset thus the race to 80 will be reset aswell, fresh realm means fresh toons.
