1. [MacOS] How to play WotLK on Catalina - Tutorial - 32bit on 64bit system

    Hey,

i figured out how to play the 32bit on your 64bit MacOS without buying Crossover. It is possible to Wrap the game into a Wineskin Wrapper. Later on the Admins could host the wrapped game for macOS Catalina and above.

    Requirements:
    - macOS Catalina or newer
    - Wrath of the Lich King (Windows)

My tutorial is tested on my Macbook Pro Mid 2012.
    Steps:
    1. Restart your Mac.
    2. Hit CMD+R on start up to get into recovery mode. (Could differ on newer Macs)
    3. Go to Utilities -> Terminal
    4. Type "csrutil disable" without quotes. It will disable SIP (https://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/ma...tless-3638975/)
    5. Restart your Mac and boot normally.
    6. Download Winery and extract it in your Programs Folder.
    https://github.com/Gcenx/WineskinSer...kin.Winery.zip
    7. Start Winery.
    8. Click on the Plus(+) Symbole
    9. Choose WS11WineCX19.0.1 or newer
    10. Click "Download & Install". Close this window after installation.
    11. Update to newest Wineskin version
    12. Click "Create New Blank Wrapper".
    13. Call it "World of Warcraft" or like you want.
    14. Choose "Move Folder" to move installation files to the wrapper.
    15. Select the WoW - Wotlk Windows Version Folder.
    16. Select the "Wow.exe" as executable.
    17. The wrapped game is in %USERNAME%/Applications/Wineskin/

    DONE!

Hit CMD + Space and type "World of Warcraft". Hinter Enter and have fun.
You can edit the game files with right click on the wrapper and open content -> drive_c.

So i've been trying to help my friend setup WOW on his Mac OS w/ Big Sur.. We did all of this but once we get the game to launch it tells him he needs to update. Once the update goes through it tells him to restart to apply the update. He clicked restart and it says it failed to apply the update and to try again later. He tried to login once again and once he logged into his account it asks him to wait for the update just for the same result. Is there any way to fix this issue?

  6. @Joro2334 Is it possible for u to make a video of the process? I dont know how to download the Winery.. (I have big sur)

    Thank you!

  7. I got this message "Error while moving file: “Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a (Mac)” couldn’t be moved to “Program Files” because an item with the same name already exists.''

    Any1 know the solution ?

  8. Hello.
So I do all that and the game opens but when I login I get always this ERROR 132 and the game closes, anyone else?
    Is there a fix?

  9. Anyone know if this works on M1 mac? I've read that it doesn't and would like to conclusively know before sinking hours into this haha.

  10. You found a solution for this error?? I have the same problem

  11. worked on big sur,thk
you don't have the error 132 sometimes?

Does anyone using this method on big sur have weird texture glitches? And any idea what could be the fix?

Note: I was able to "minimise" the glitching by increasing my shadow quality, i guess it's associated with that..
