These servers here are massive with thousands -even tens of thousands- of players. Suggest allow players who so desire to turn off individual PvP.

You can even charge coin for on/off!

You can fight to your hearts content .. Allowing individuals to opt out affects your game in no way ..

Or they could implement something similar to the Dalaran body guard purchased for coin?

You buy a token/service that lasts for a short period of time .. Minutes during which you can not be attacked by the opposing faction ..

What you missed is the part where he said it's been rejected loads of times and it won't change, that includes tokens to prevent PvP, features on website to turn it off etc. It's a PvP server, not a PvE one.
