WotLK Need help with focus Macros!

Need help with focus Macros!
Hey guys. So I'm fairly good with macros and I have some pretty good ones such as,
#showtooltip
/cast [mod:shift,target=focus][target=mouseover, exists][nomod] Death Grip
But when I use it it causes me to target the focus target and then death grip, this never happened back in legion and on. I'm curious if this was always like this in WotLK or is there something that isn't enabled in my setting. What I want is to still be targeting whoever and beable to death grip or kick my focus target BUT NOT TARGET THEM. And yes, I have sticky targeting enabled. I'd appreciate any input, ty.

yes, it is weird but it happens only with "death grip" and only if you are out of combat.
If you test that macro on dummies you will see your target will not change by using that macro ( test while being in combat with a different dummy)
Forum Veteran
/cast [@focus,exist] Death Grip
Will simply death grip your focus without targeting them.
Or is there something else you wanted to add to macro's properties?
Forum Veteran
/cast [@focus,exist] Death Grip
tested, same issue.
It still force to target the focus

tested, same issue.
It still force to target the focus
I tested it in-game as well, worked as intended. Could it be possible you both have combat setting on that I don't?
