Frost scythe of Lord Ahune

So, I got the frost scythe today out of the event bag.
However is it only a level 70 version?
I understand that the cloaks were made unavailable due to ilvl however couldn't you do the same for the staff or will this be the only version in the game currently? Seems extremely unfair for people to be farming in the hopes of getting a new weapon for it to be completely useless

Except the items from Frost Lord Ahune likely won't be useable until ICC releases (ToC is possible but unlikely, Ulduar absolutely not), as that's when the items were available on retail. So what's your point again?

Server doesn't let you equip the iLvl250 or whatever high **** he drops. You just have to save it for later when it unlocks that tier

The staff is cool for the looking, so be glad you have a new cool xmog (cause yea even atm can be xmogged). Even if the staff was the 80 232ilvl one by the time you will be able to equip it you could just run pos hc and get one or just do toc 10m. Who knows maybe in all these period of time left you get to join an ulduar hard mode raid and get lucky with a 239ilvl staff, theres no point to complain tbh.

The staff is ilvl 232 which is the same as regular 25-man Ulduar weapons.
