Ive decided to return to the server and start a new character on the horde side.
My question is, what class or role is more in demand in endgame pve content.

As usual, tanks and healers are have highest demand. Rsham, hpala for healers and pala, DK for tanking.
For DPS your go-to choice should be a lock or a boomkin. They're always the only DPS that's missing.
They're also a decent pick, somewhat similar situation to locks.
Yep, just like Thorbjorn said, as far as RDPS are concerned, boomies (due to their huge raid utility and buffs), and demo locks (for that sweet bonus spell power) are in the highest demand. Hunters too are quite important (misdirect, tranquilizing shot on LK fight, their pet is useful on Marrowgar and BPC, freezing trap to slow the beasts on the Saurfang fight). Can't go wrong with a hunter.
Shadow priests are very easy to play: easy dps rotations, no mana problems, no aggro problems, self-heal, feign death in the form of the spell Fade etc; and also their dps is very stable. If you have a disc spec on top of that you can be quite valuable to the raid. If you want to go shadow I suggest playing ally, because there are less of them on ally side.
As far as MDPS are concerned, nothing is in demand really, there's always plenty of them. The rarest though are ench shamans and feral dudus for sure.
Ofc tanks and healers are always in demand, doesn't matter what class.
