1. What is next?

Will we get any info on what is planned for this server?

  2. No, it will shut down and die soon.

  3. Would it be possible to create a server like Frostmourne for Outland? I mean, the server died as the progress was over, wasn't it ? Wouldn't this problem be solved by a server that exists like Frostmourne, only for a limited time, and then place characters on Outland after a year?

  4. Frostmourne came to be due to the extremelly high interest Icecrown has.
The scenarios aren't comparable by any means.

  5. Seriously? So there was no extremely high interest to Outland till it fully progressed? Server had 6k+ pop and will have it again just once u open it. If even no name Endless got this 6k for months with all there bugs and... noname
u dont need any special scenarios for new server - need just new tbc server and it will be overpopulated, cause warmane have wotlk pop, reputation, very good scripted etc

Icecrown has been fully progressed for years and still has 12k + players, this is the interest that created Frostmourne. 2 tbc servers have been created, the "lordaeron like" one died first and the "icecrown wannabe" one also followed after the content was completed.

I really shouldn't have to point it out, but "was" vs. "is."

Do it the other way around, then. Show us that there really is such strong interest in the server that is already here, and with that established ask for a restart from scratch.

For players it's playing a server for free, while for us it's investing time, money, staff and infrastructure in the promise that maybe players will indeed come - and, more importantly, stay - despite having left two servers in the past. We already did that, and have the past telling us how it went. If it would go differently this time, show us.

  8. Classic WoW followed the same pattern, the hype for it was huge, the population was huge too, but count the ammount of level 60's to the ammount of accounts created and you'll be shocked, People wanted to try WoW how it was before they started play because they felt like they missed out on it, once they tried it they saw how it actually was and the intrest lost rather quickly, Warmanes TBC servers followed this same pattern too.

Keep waiting friend, keep waiting :)

  11. A TBC server completely unchanged, with an 1x rate, and with no end in sight ( Icecrown like realm without time limit on it ) is probably doomed to fail. It hurts to admit but the game wasn't complete, and investing that much time into a game (attunements) is simply not possible for 30+ boomers like me. The 40 man raids are very hard to pull off even for experienced guild leaders, the arena comps are gimmicky, etc. A hybrid of Wotlk-TBC would probably work in a time-gated manner like Frostmourne, but even then, classic TBC nears also, so it would be a gamble. We probably just have to wait for the real thing now.

  12. progression x1 tbc server with no cash shop is the only viable alternative to try and maintain a somewhat healthy tbc population.
tbc dies the moment progression is over same with vanilla, and in Outlands case when glaives were introduced in the item shop.

A no, it died after the content was done and over with. Yes, some people left out of frustation because of the shop-makes 0 sense since then it's less competition for the items for you + if you really think long term it changes nothing, because eventually everyone will have said items, is about time when it comes to expansions that do not progress-. Medivh was EXACTLY what you described above and it died first and much MUCH faster.
