WotLK Get Valanyr for druid or shaman?

Hi,
I have resto druid and resto sham both almost bis (no valanyr)

I got 120 coins but cant decide which char to get valanyr
Better on druid or shaman?

first this depends on what you like to play more of imo. As who wants to buy something they never get to use?

i would argue it is better healing wise for a druid as they can pretty much cover the raid with it and help for example on infest when your disc is grabbed and on other fights they get more use from the absorbs as again they can cover everyone in the raid and thus prevent a lot more damage when random damage occurs. Shamans can get bigger shields up but hit far less targets. Thus making it useful in some fights but not others such as your big AoE healing fights (BQL, PP, Sindy).

There are fights where for a shaman it is better to swap to Scepter 1H from lk and fights where valynar shines better for them. On a resto druid valynar is used in every fight save maybe VDW as spell power is more useful than shields (assuming you are going in the nightmare portals).
