Technical Scroll of Illusion Specifics

Hello everyone,
First time on the forums and a relatively new player on Lordaeron and Icecrown. I have a question regarding the use of transmog that I couldn't Google the answers to. I'm purchasing points, and my questions are:
1. If I purchase a Scroll of Deception with coins (from donations) will the scroll be consumed upon generation of an essence?
2. Will the item still exist after having the essence made?
3. If the scroll is permanent, could it be transferred to a lower lvl alt to transmog heirlooms? (i know essences are soulbound and the essence can only be used on equipped items)
4. Can essences be made from items that you cannot wear but used on items that you can (plate on a priest robe for example).
