Mid to end game mage. Question.

So. Im mid to end game now (icc 25 nm farm). Anyone got hard data on mage dps? Im arcane 5,8k. I pull more dps and total dmg in icc 25 that fire raid spec. (While doing tac. Not just mindless spam boss.) I was told arcane is bad, but what gives? I enjoy arcane alot, and will keep playing it. But all guides say i need to go fire..

Fire becomes better after a certain ammount of crit chanse, and even then you rely a lot of RNG to get critical hits, you want to crit constantly to keep ignite up and stacked too. Many people will argue about the exact crit % where fire becomes better but most say around 55-60% you can se this by putting your mouse over the crit chanse and read what the "Fire" crit rating is.
Dependent on your gear, if you have a lot of haste 1k or more and 45% crit then arcane is much better for you.
