WotLK [Bug] - Item Equip Error - "You cannot equip more than one of those."

Recently I received a letter in my inbox from "Blizzard support" which contained some info about how some items have equip errors and also attached the belt I had currently been using. I noticed at this point that my belt had magically been unequipped and I assume attached to this letter? Weird.

Well anyway when trying to re-equip it I found that the error message "You cannot equip more than one of those" is displayed. I can equip other belts in the slot, just not this one in particular. I guess the game thinks I still have it equipped (even though I don't) and doesn't want to let me equip it. I've attached links showing screenshots of the bug.

Any help here? Is there a way to reset my item slots to allow me to equip my belt again? It's killing my GS and DPS so I can't do any PvE.

Check for the +stats gems on your other gear. They are unique-equipped and might be the reason why you can't equip the belt. You can have only one of those gems per set of gear.
