Trade to Play a DeathKnight?

Just checking, if I Donate* and Trade to buy a lvl 80 to a new Account < 55 to play a Death Knight, if i buy a lvl 80 DeathKnight will i be able to play or will i still be unable to play the class because another character is not greater than level 55? I know what i want to play and have plaid through all the expansions. I dont mind leveling a DK, but also dont want to buy a paladin or something if not needed. Thank you for your help.

yes, you can directly buy a lvl 80 DK and playing with it.
