1. Berserking vs Executioner

I see most high rated Warriors are using http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=38948 over http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=44492 but to me 400 ap seems vastly superior to 120 arp.
Is berserking worse because of the armor reduction debuff? Did smbd calculate how much ap is actually lost because the debuff is interfering with http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/spell=61222??

  2. with 120arp proc to cap u can gem x6 times 120 str or any another stats that goes up by gbok even in pve its good to have it

    Not really.
Even when you take http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/spell=29763 and gbok into account 120 str is still not as good as 400 ap.
Also it's bad to rely in PvE on a proc in order to reach the ArP cap since it hasn't a 100% uptime.

In PvP gear you shouldn't reach 100% arp with executioner proc unless you run around with very low resilience.
And even when you reach the cap with it I guess that 400 extra AP would be still a bigger DPS gain.

  4. I have tested it in game and berserking gives with the armor debuff around 377 ap with http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/spell=61222?.
377 ap is still better than 120 arp.
I guess the reason why ppl take executioner over berserking in pvp is that they don't wanna have lower survivability from that armor debuff.
Or they are simply bad in math....

  5. don't forget that berserking is literaly 1/4 uptime - 15 secs?45sec downtime, while you can keep exe proc up and str gives constant boost

This is not true. Neither have internal cooldown, both are based on PPM values that should be the same.

Realy? Than why you can constantly refresh Mongoose/Executioner, while Bers just ends? With amount of fury warrior attacks from both weapons + weapon speed scaling it should have close to 100% uptime for main-hand proc of it, yet it's not so

    Spoiler: Show

Formulas have been sadly lost in the archive abyss. And mier asked about the difference between enchants in PvP, we're going offtopic right now.

  9. Here is "easy-to-do" thing: get any weapon twice, chant it with crusader (cheap enchant with no down time and literal % to proc from any melee hit) and berserk (questionable one). You will see that you can refresh crusader procs.

Now down to PvP chant - AP procs have bad habit to mess up with refreshing of current Rend + you lose armor and AP thanks to 5% reduction from Berserk. So it's wise to use either Massacre for raw stat boost (also helps a lot vs mail & plate classes due to bleeds ignoring armor values) or Executioner for burst without loss of some defence + burst vs cloth & leather classes

  10. I assume it's mostly the armor debuff that makes high rated warrs choose executioner over berserking.
You mostly face mirror teams on high rating and when it's warr vs warr it's probably more harms than good when berserking procs. The 5% armor loss might even be a bigger dmg gain for the opponent warr than for the one where berserking proced.
