1. Druid or paladin

Yo guys, I'm in need your help.
I play a druid and a pala in Icecrown server. Recently i farmed out the basic pvp gear for resto (furious set rele+wf offparts) but I find it really hard to survive or outheal dmg in arenas, especially melee classes. Maybe its just the lack of gear but i've been wondering if pvp healing would be easier with paladin. I love the mobility and swiftness of the druid class, and basically im the god of battlegrounds and thats ok if you are looking for fun only. But as soon as i want be serious and enter into the arena im getting wrecked. When i look at the pvp ladder, I hardly find any resto druid, only holy pala+any damage. The plate armor also looks more appealing than leather just to survive those warriors, dks, rogues.
By the way my primary talent is reserved for tank pve, so that would be doable with paladin too.
Sorry for long post, im curious about your opinions.
Tldr: Resto druid or holy pala pvp? Feral tank or protection pala tank pve?
Edit: actually i logged out in my resto gear, could you guys check it out? https://armory.warmane.com/character...ecrown/summary

  2. Holy Pala for PvP and Prot Pala for PvE.
Resto Druid is very good in PvP as well, but a bit harder to get into and suffers greatly in arena vs classes who can spam dispel magic, like priest. It's just how it is. If you really love Resto Druid then don't get discouraged, play it and perfect your skill, you should be fine in the end.
As for PvE, Prot Pala is the best tank honestly. Some would debate that Feral Tank could be No.2, but I would disagree, Blood DK is way better for ICC. It could be No.2 in raids like Ulduar, Naxx but I cannot confirm sadly, I started playing both Feral and DK tank on retail when ICC was already out.
If you're really going for min-max and want to play something that is really good in WotLK, then go Holy Pala PvP / Prot Pala PvE.
While I have no experience in Holy Pala in any way, I will tell you that Prot Pala is the most boring tank. I have tried to gear up mine many times and every time I almost fall asleep in the raids. But that's just my opinion.

  3. It should be harder to heal through the damage as druid because the druid was designed to evade damage as much, if not more, as to heal through it. If it had the survivability of a disc priest with its own escapability, you'd see a druid on every arena team.

  4. If you can find one good affi lock, you can push serious ratings in arena. Its harder than paladin for sure, but is viable as much as pally with affi lock behind him.
