In this amazing guide, I will teach you how to pew pew your way onto the bench. You must first realise why destruction is the best warlock spec. DPS, utility, difficulty and enjoyability.

DPS: It has the lowest dps out of all the warlock specs

race:

Human is cool for ally
Orc is cool for horde
i guess troll is fine too?

stats:

spellpower = damage
crit = damage, also helps conflagration crits to proc pyroclasm
haste = pew pew faster
spirit = good at low gear, useless at higher ilvl gear cos there’s not much spirit on them anyway
hit = must!! nothing worse than missing your conflag! (263 for ally friends, if you’re horde unlucky)

this is the best build for pew pewing bosses. Now you might ask;

Why not go for unholy power?
because ISL > damage, because you can’t see the damage increase from the pet and if you go for ISL you wont have to life tap, which means you can pew pew instead of standing there
like a dumbass trying to get mana back without the life tap glyph.

What if you don't have enough hit?
go gem some
shadowburn does absolutely no damage don't take it.
improved scorch also does no damage cos you don't use scorch.
nether protection doesn’t increase your pew pew damage, don't take it.
molten skin is useless, if you die just blame the healers.
imp. SB is trash because when i tried SB filler destruction it was not fun.
imp. healthstone is for demo sluts.
why not go for demonic aegis 3/3 over shadow fury 1/1, because then you can tell your raid you have an ability unique to destruction warlocks.

glyphs:

major:
incinerate
conflagrate
immolate/imp (both are good but immolate makes you see bigger conflag crits so….)
minor:
drain soul
kilrogg

how to dps:

opener: Immolate (precast if possible) -> CoD -> Conflag -> Chaos bolt -> incin spam
priority: CoD if the target will live for another minute > immolate debuff > conflag > chaos bolt > incinerate
spells to use when moving: auto attacks (right click the boss), shadowfury, corruption and death coil.

there’s a delay between casting immolate and being able to cast conflag, so cast another spell in between, like immolate -> chaosbolt/incinerate/CoD -> conflag

if you stand near max range, you can chaos bolt/incinerate THEN use immolate and you will still get the damage buff from fire and brimstone. This is due to the travel time of the 2 spells and immolate having a super short cast time and being instant.

mana: if you run out of mana, get a better group that can kill the boss in 2 minutes.

feelycraft time: we don't wanna use life tap if possible, that spell is for 𝛃 specs like affly and demo who don't have another way of getting mana like ISL.

conclusion, if you want to top meters in a good guild, you’d have to actually be good and play affliction. if you wanna be bad and top pugs, go destruction and pew pew them like here

as you can see the fight lasted 2:25s which is why i had to life tap like a 𝛃. also remember to suck some **** for focus magic as you can use it much better than the boomy with no fingers and an upside down monitor.

use spell power food, firestone enchant and remember to use fel armor and your imp. currently due to warmane’s coding ****ery, imp disappears after chamber phase in LK so remember to hearth out after you get put in the chamber to save yourself the 9 second cast time of your pet.
