WotLK 4.4k gs - RDF - cant queue heroics - 'locked to this instance'

Suddenly I am unable to queue on RDF for heroics despite my 4.4k gs. It says "you are already locked to this instance".

Is this normal? Is there a game mechanic that I'm not aware of?

"you are already locked to this instance". = you need to wait reset ID.

Heroic dungeons can be done once per day

Ok. Is there a menu somewhere that tells me how much time left before reset?

Yes, press the O key, then open the Raid tab, then press the Raid Info button.

You can also right click on your avatar on the upper left hand side, 1 of the options is to reset all dungeons.

Heroic dungeons and raids cannot be reset once you are locked to them (generally, by killing the first boss).
