I discovered this unusual texture MPQ mod. Any danger to get banned for it?
Just like the title states, I just discovered this 2015 MPQ mod, inspired by the WotLK development days when blizzard was considering giving a more wintery feel to the old zones:

Has anyone tried this before?
Is there any danger to get banned for using it?

Seems cool would like to check it out. I would like to know if it is acceptable as well

The rules say any modification to the game files is bannable. Practically speaking it is unlikely you will get banned for using that mod.

Modified textures are fine. According to the description, it should be fine. What's not allowed is modified terrain. For example, making some area higher or lower than it originally is. Anti-cheat is detecting that but, as far as I know, it only disconnects you instead of banning.
