Explosive trap or black arrow?

Hey there,

I was wondering what is better for singel target dmg in naxx gear/naxx..

Black arrow = 6% more dmg + 16 sec window to get lock n load -or
Explosive trap with glyph (crit on dot) + 20 sec window to get lock n load

Would be nice to get some insight. Ty in advance.

tldr explosive trap, by A LOT
; black arrow is only for those fights, when you know you won't be able to trap within next 20 seconds. In t7 content thats: grobbulus, heigan, keel thuzad, dragons (sapphiron, sartharion, Malygos-for those its not immposible to efficiently trap, it's just tough due to the sheer monstrous size of their models).
On most of the fights without death zones or slime puddles of some sorts, you are supposed to drop a frost trap for an instant lnl proc, and possibly a 6% crit increasee if you opt for such talent. A macro for that is:

#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=6 explosive trap, frost trap
/startattack
/use raptor strike

1.t7 survi talent spec, with 8% hit and another hunter glyphed into h.mark https://wotlk.evowow.com/?talent#cZ0...hebAMsu:NL0M0z
2.when you are the one specced into h.maark (this can be pushed only to 6% hit rating tho https://wotlk.evowow.com/?talent#cZM...hebA0sk:NLaM0z

Explo with frost trap for lnl proc is a majority of your dps; done right, Survi is doing great.

It procs on everything, idk whether it should or not, it's not a retail anyway
