WotLK Character Recustomization

I have a character recustomization and it says "could not customize character". I'm running a client with no addons or models. I'm using a name of one of my characters that I've deleted so the name isn't taken. I'm at a loss. I've tried all of the hairs, skins, faces, etc. Still nothing.

Can't pick a name that was recently deleted. You'd have to wait 30 days for the character restoration time period to expire.

My boyfriend did the exact same thing. Deleted a character for a name and used it during character recustomization and had no problems. I've tried a million different names. That isn't the issue.
