Uhh because the entire point of mercenary mode is to balance out queue times. Far more alliance queue for bgs than horde, so alliance has the option to enable. Why would they allow people to queue for a faction that already has extreme wait times? Furthermore, who would want to increase their wait time voluntarily?

If I was horde and I found out an alli was doing that, I'd tell everyone in the BG to flag him AFK the second it started. That's a complete D move.

Queue times are already horrid, from what I hear. That's just creative griefing.

Why not remove Horde as faction completely, switch all of Horde to Alliance and then we have just Alliance with all benefits of mercenary mode?
