WotLK Crackling noise

Hello all,

I decided to download Warmane today and get a jump start on a character that I plan to play in the inevitable WOTLK classic, when it drops.

I downloaded the game via the qbittorent and let is seed fully, and among opening the game I was met with an absurdly loud crackling noise anytime ANYTHING made noise. I played around with the setting for a bit and could not get it fixed. I ultimately ended up disabling sound completely as it was unbearable to listen to.

How can I get this fixed?
