Boost in dungeons is best way.

This. Find a max level buddy or pay someone some gold to powerlevel you in dungeons. WC > SFK > SM (multiple runs here) > Mara > stratholme can be soloed by an 80 quick and easy. You can hit 60 in 3-4 hours this way. Once you get to Outlands content, either quest or dungeon grind (dungeons do pop in outlands and northrend). Questing is quicker as I normally can be ready for northrend content by the time I finish hellfire peninsula and like half of terrorkar forest.

Otherwise, just quest, and you can hit 60 in less than a day or so of /played, but its a lot slower than a dungeon boost.
