1. Improvements for next Frostmourne

    Hello.

    Timewalking is a good concept but its big problem is that it's not actually worth it to run the dungeons. Kara gave naxx10 loot, which is terrible and that alone makes it a waste of time. Black temple some bosses were tuned on the level of some ulduar hardmodes, yet the loot again was terrible waste of time. Repeat until this point.

    So I'd like to see either double reset like FM1, though it is a bit exhausting, or much better loot from the timewalk raids. If you do kara, make it so that bosses drop 1 10man item and 1 25man item, and for normal 25man timewalk raids make some heroic loot available by some measures (for example; tribute speedruns?)

    Otherwise its all good. Just that timewalking was a terrible waste of time this season. Actually made me quit during ulduar because I got so bored of 1 raid per week as going in to BT was not worth it.

  2. The whole point of the "Timewalking" was to be a catch up mechanic, not to be used alongside the top tier of gearing. If the gear it gives is too weak for you, it's simply not meant for your char(s). Making it give better gear would just turn it into a pseudo-double reset, which the majority of players wanted removed. I wouldn't have any hopes of either thing happening, as they would mean negating the whole point of what the community asked.

    In FM1 with double reset that also meant that if you cleared everything you also geared up twice as fast with heroic loot.

    This was also fairly exhausting where the community complaints came from: Naxx twice per week or ToC twice per week is not fun, but if you didn't do it, you felt like you fell behind compared to others.

    Timewalking breaks the repetitiveness that the double reset introduced, but my original complaint from that stands; it doesn't feel necessary, and quite frankly it feels like a waste of time if you don't need the loot from there. Thus the result is that you have little to do outside of clearing the main raid of the content batch. Half of the thrill when you are raiding comes from receiving upgrades for your character, the raid itself can't provide enjoyment past the first clear if there is no incentive of doing it.

    Regarding FM1 vs. FM2 there are aspects that I prefer from both and aspects I don't like from both. In FM1 it was the double reset, and in FM2 it's the lack of incentive to do the additional content. Which is why I proposed a way to gather heroic/toptier gear from the timewalking raids by different methods, be it straight up a heroic mode for the raid or special objectives like speedrunning / deathless runs like toc for extra "BiS" loot.

  5. Would love to see changed loot tables that don't include instant abyss crystals like crit+mp5 plate/mail spell power items. But I suppose giving better loot to players from raids wouldn't incentivize people to buy coins for purchasing items on the Warmane store, so I can see why that will never happen.

  6. I suppose understanding that, if we really wanted to generate more donations we have a very wide array of options that have been declined for a decade which could simply be implemented, wouldn't satisfy that conspiracy theory urge some people have, so I can see why that will never happen.

  7. Well then great! Let's see some improved loot tables for next Frostmourne. I've compiled a list of THE MOST undesirable items from T7 boss drops which might as well all be renamed "Abyss Crystal" due to them being practically useless. Mind you, I was being quite generous when making this list, there are plenty more items that could have been added like hit/spirit and crit/mp5 jewelry/weapons, but these can still be somewhat useful as sidegrades or for people's secondary roles, even though they will most likely always be disenchanted. I'll link the items from the list below from most useless to least useless, top to bottom.

    There we have 37 items which might as well be Abyss Crystals, that were constantly dropping in Naxx, EoE & OS, and don't forget the practically useless time walking raid KARAZHAN as well. I'm sure people would be delighted to see items like these dropped from loot tables with an increase in difficulty of the raiding content. Harder content requires better gear and faster gearing up, having completely useless items like these drop slows down progression and also just in general feels awful, like overcoming the challenge of a boss is a complete waste of time.

    I can just as well make a list like this for the other content phases to prove my point further.

    Please, make the content harder, and award players with better loot. If the truth is that Warmane could rather "simply" implement other changes that would encourage players to buy coins, and that my "conspiracy theory" is BS, then there's no reason for this suggestion to not be seriously considered.

    Double loot with no timewalking, way better for alts.
    Scarab lord event with extra drops (flask/potions/gems) so we have more people farming/pvping on farming spots, i think the best time to do this is naxx/toc.
    I dont like timewalking, even if it has good drops, i am here to play wotlk, if i want to play more i will make an alt with a different playstyle and i will play wotlk, not "optional" tbc/classic raids. With double loot i will have enought items to build both chars.
    Other aspect that i dont like about timewalking is that it is not good for more social guilds/pugs, guilds need to use one of their raiding days to farm it, somethimes not even finishing the current raid tier, this let them progress even less.

    For faction imbalance, let any race pick any racial (try to keep it balanced). it does not matter how much bonus xp, honor, prof bonus, gold u give to alliance, it will never be balanced with horde.

  13. I personaly liked Timewalking how it was. It was a good catch up opportunity, without forcing you to do it. Increasing the reward of timewalking or implementing double reset leads to every day raiding. This will have the result that you are done very quickly or when you increase the reward you will give bad players access to hardmode loot.

    Every timewalking was great but Sunwell, this needed to be nerfed. It's very healthy for a server to have easy raids with easy loot, so many pugs can run the raids. A server lives and dies with it's population. You have to give casual players casual balanced raids.

    But do keep in mind that Frostmourne, by its very nature and design, wasn't made with casual players in mind. Of course casuals are welcome to join, but you can't expect the design of the server to be changed to accommodate them. Much like playing in Lordaeron, players should go in knowing what they're getting into. This is a limited-duration server with scheduled progress that caters much more to the experienced player who wants a challenging rush to the top. We have other servers better suited for the casual crowd.

    is not timewalking custom? Having a human with the orc racials is not going to change things a lot and would be good for faction balance. I dont know a single person that wants to play alliance next season.

    And you had people frustrated about loot for the entire season, it does not feel good to go in to a raid and get a bunch of useless items like the ones xxhummusgodx posted, i dont think removing the items is the solution, give us more so we have more chances to get the good ones.
