Agility to ranged attacked power

So it was my understanding that 1 agility equals 2 ranged attack power. But when I look at my ring "Mobius Band" with the following stats: 43 agi, 43 stam, 25 hit and 86 AP I thought it would give me 172 RAP (43 x 2 = 86 + 86 = 172) but my total RAP with the ring on is 4012 and when I take the ring of its 3868 a difference of 144 instead of 172, why is this?

So it was my understanding that 1 agility equals 2 ranged attack power.

That's in later xpacs. In wotlk 1 agi gives 1 ap, a bit of crit, dodge and armor.

Thanks, I thought that might be the case but my math didn't add up (forgot some modifiers).
