Saber Mount for human

Can I buy a normal frostsaber from the vendor with a human or other alliance race without being exaltet with Darnassus, in wotlk?
Or should I check the trade section, if yes, is exalted still needed then?

You can't buy it in-game if you are not exalted.

Regarding buying it in the marketplace, there doesn't seem to be a reputation minimum if you buy it there, but I am not completely sure.

Before spending coins for a basic mount like that, I suggest you look into some alternatives - it seems to me you just want to ride a tiger, and there are more tigers in game than just the Darnassus ones.

The easiest one to get is probably 'Black War Tiger' which costs 50 000 honor points only. But there are many others, such as zul'gurub tiger / argent tournament tiger / winterspring tiger / etc
