Yes it is.
Go find the undead NPC named Slahtz, he is located in Orgrimmar, in the building that has the Orc Warrior trainers in Valley of Wisdom.
For 10 gold he'll disable your experience gains. This includes experience from battlegrounds, quests, mobs and discoveries.
You can enable experience gains again if you wish, but it'll cost you another 10 gold.
