Do we know if they plan to keep the vanilla realm up when going into TBC. Would be great if, say a "Gruul" server was added with the option to clone or move your characters. Personally I would rather stay in Azeroth...

You are right my friend. Lots of people came here for good vanilla experience.
Warmane has wotlk servers since 2015 maybe older i dont remember well. On the other hands classic wotlk still continue, so people missing good old vanilla days. I would rather stay Azeroth too...

The announcement shouldn't really leave room for such doubt.
This is one server, which will progress through content until Wrath of the Lich King.
