Is the ingame mailbox deleted when character is bought/sold with(out) inventory @ Website Trading?
What's happening to the System (store/shop) mails with attached items?

Yes, it's deleted for sure, with or without inventory.
Legend says that mails eligible are returned to sender, I can not say this for sure.
If you put character in Barracks, all the mails just work as if you are simply offline.
